So, it’s been awhile.  Things are just chaotic this time of year.  Andy has his 4th grade market tomorrow, so we’ve been working on projects for him to sell.  I say “we”, but really it’s more me.  What you won’t do for your kiddos.

Here are 3 different bookmarks that we came up with.  I really like the way the butterfly one turned out.  We used “Flight of the Butterfly”, “Just Baseball”,  “Just Football”, and “Sporting”.  We did laminate the bookmarks to make them a little more sturdy.

We also made pencil pouches.  This butterfly is from “Simple Friendship”.  Isn’t it just gorgeous?  I fell in love with this set in the new catalog.  Had to have it…

The Luck of the Irish.  I’ve seen many people do different varieties of this little leprechaun.  This is what mine looks like.  We made him into a pin.  He’s made with the scallop circle, 1 3/8 ” circle, 1/2″ circle, 5-petal flower, small tag, & small oval punches.

Andy and I worked together on these.  Still trying to have something for the boys and something for the girls.  Again we used the sports sets, and the “Simple Friendship” set.  We also used the Sale-A-Bration set “Botanical Blooms” set. (don’t forget you  can get this set FREE through March 31st!)

Now, this card is not one for the market.  This is one of the cards we did in our Hostess Club this week.  It, too, was made with the “Botanical Blooms”, and the “Congrats” sets from the Sale-A-Bration.  I found a similar card on Splitcoaststampers and liked it, but switched it up a little to make it my own. In stamping terms, I “cased” this card.  The original artist is “she’s_crafty”.

I’m hoping that I’ll be able to keep up with my entries a little better than I have so far.  This weekend will be a great weekend to stay home to stamp with all this new fresh snow!

Well, I told you that I was going to case Gail’s card from the swap, and I sure did.  His class just loved them. (they had their party early).  I wanted the kids to have their “own” valentines so I came up with these.

They are sort of like a wallet.  You start out with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock.  You score at 2″ & 5 1/2″.  Fold.  Make a flap.  The inside is the top of a lunch bag cut at 3 1/4″.  Here’s a picture of the inside.

Faith loved them and is so excited to give them to her classmates.  We put little packages of plain M&M’s inside.

Just thought you might like to see the wonderful talent of the ladies I swapped with this weekend…

This is Gail Yanker’s fantastic card.  I’m admitting it now.  I’m casing this one for Andy’s  4th grade Valentine’s.

Linda LaCrone made this gorgeous card with the “Fresh Cuts” set.  She made her own in color markers with blender pens and re-inkers.

Kay Reeve’s made this simple and beautiful card.  Way to use those punches!!!  Look closely at the butterfly.  She cut the butterfly out by hand and those antennae….wow!   She should get the patience award!

Karen Tuck took the Sale-A-Bration swap to heart!  She used the Delicate Dots DSP, the twill ribbon from the ribbon bundle, and the Congrats stamp set.  What a great card!

This card is by our new stamping friend, Peggy.  (I didn’t catch her last name. Sorry.)  She just joined the Stampin’ Up! family as a demonstrator.  She hasn’t even gotten her kit yet, but she still participated in our swap!  Way to go Peggy, and welcome to the family!

Stacy S. (not gonna try to spell, because I don’t want to get it wrong.)  did this lovely tri-fold card.  Lots of detail…fabulous card!

And our last card was made by Sandy Feeney.  She used the watercoloring technique with the new “Just Buzzing By” set.   Crimping the background sort of gave it that honeycomb look!

Well, everyone have been telling me “Elaine, where’s your blog?  You’ve got to get one!” So here I am giving it a shot.  I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing, so please be patient with me, but I’m gonna give it a shot.

So, this weekend I was able to take a trip down to visit some of my wonderful stamping gal pals in Belgrade/Bozeman.  These are the stamping ladies I was blessed to be able to go to Convention with in July last year.  We had a card swap and so here’s the card that I made.

We were to use a Sale-A-Bration set if we already had one.  I had “Polka Dot Punches” (which by the way is just an absolutely wonderful set).  Since Valentine’s Day is pretty much past us,  I decided to move on to St. Patrick’s Day.  So, I used “Pinch Proof”.  If you look closely in to the background, you’ll see the new Flourishes texturz plate from the Backgrounds 1 set for the Big Shot.  (This is an exclusive to Stampin’ Up! set)   I also used the Exclusive “Top Note” die.  I know you can’t see it from the picture, but I used the cs scrap from the top note cut, and used it as a frame inside the card.
